Geneva 2015: Honda NSX

The last three months, the new Acura NSX visited a lot of shows in the United States. Now it’s time to start the journey through Europe. The NSX makes its debut in Europe on the Geneva Motor Show.

The new NSX doesn’t look that much like the old NSX but that wasn’t the goal. The goal for the NSX was the development of a completely new NSX with the DNA of the old supercar. This is a supercar which has to redefine the term driving experience. Something Nissan also managed to do with the GT-R. We’re wondering what the NSX will be like.

The NSX is powered by a 3.7 liter twinturbo V6engine which is attached to three electric engines. Two of these electric engines power both front wheels while the third is attached to the V6. This combination results in a power of over 550 hp. Later this year, we will hear more about the exact power of this car. The NSX has to compete with German, Italian and English cars and the addition of the NSX in the sports car segment will make it an even bigger battle. Shifting gears in the NSX is done with a nine speed gearbox and the power is transferred to the road with the four-wheel drive system.

The expected price of this car in the United States is $150.000,-. In Europe the NSX won’t get the Acura logo but the normal Honda logo. This model is important for Honda because it has to give the image of Honda a big boost, just like the GT-R did for Nissan. With the sporty and beautiful looks of the NSX we expect that this car will be a big success. We’re looking forward to see this car on the streets!
