Geneva 2016: Bentley Mulsanne

A new Flying Spur V8 S is shining at Bentley's stand in Geneva, but there's an even more important scoop, the new Mulsanne. A pretty surprising scoop which wasn't expected by a lot of people.

All these scoops are the charm of the Geneva Motor Show. We hear more and more news. Bentley shows a new design language with the Mulsanne. It's more sporty and actually more flashy. This flagship is the crème de la crème and it has to battle with the mighty Phantom. Most important is the fact that the Phantom is at the end of its lifecycle. The Mulsanne will be available in three versions, the Mulsanne, Mulsanne Speed and the Mulsanne Extended Wheelbase. Every model has its own character.

The Extended Wheelbase has extra leg room of 25 centimeters, more luxurious seats and a big panorama roof. The Speed has a suit with sporty aspirations. The 537 hp and 1.100 Nm of torque result in a mighty performance. Sprinting to 100 kph takes only 4.9 seconds and the top speed is over 300 kph.

What's this Mulsanne all about? The design is more outstanding and the car has a massive new grill with vertical panels. The complete front is renewed, from the grill to the fenders. It all looks more powerful and that fits the new style of the Bentley, just like we see with the Bentayga and Continental GT.
