Spot of the Year 2016: McLaren P1 GTR
Feb 8, 2017, 4:40 AM In 2016 we were treated with some amazing spots and photography! We welcomed many topspots from around the world, and after the semi-finals there were 12 finalists left. You voted in large numbers, and at the end there is one winner. Today the votes are counted and we can announce the best spot of 2016, the McLaren P1 GTR spotted by Damian Ochrymowicz! Congratulations!

Every car will fill a niche in the market, just like the just introduced 540C that fills the lower end of the line-up and goes head-to-head with cars like the Audi R8 V10. Soon McLaren will introduce its latest addition, the McLaren Project P14 and we just came across a picture of it on Instagram.

Video: McLaren P1 LM races over the Nurburgring
Oct 31, 2016, 3:11 PM A few days ago spotter Style treated us to a beautiful spot of a McLaren P1 LM, better known as the street legal version of the P1 GTR. However, there are some P1 GTRs that are converted to become street legal. This means there probably are some differences between the P1 LM and the P1 GTR. Even though the LM is ‘made for the street’ and the GTR is ‘made for the track’ the LM can hold its own on the track, as can be seen in the video below:

What happened to the McLaren P1 VP5?
Sep 20, 2016, 10:57 AM Hey, that’s strange… The McLaren P1 which used to be registered on these Swiss plates was the VP5 Model (Validation Prototypes) and it was painted in yellow. Somehow this owner managed to buy a pre-production car, and it seems as if it got a complete overhaul.
