Gumball 3000 2012: daily report nine, Kansas City to Santa Fe!

May 30, 2012, 1:30 PM Yesterday, the longest day of the Gumball 3000 was waiting for us. Not just seven or eight hours in the car, we had to drive thirteen long hours with outside temperatures near 40 degrees Celsius. Luckily someone discovered air-conditioning a long time ago so it wasn’t that hot inside the car. Team Galag unfortunately did have some problems with the air-conditioning of their Lamborghini Aventador so they flew directly to Las Vegas. Besides that also a lot of nice things happened yesterday!

Also the Ferrari FF is burning very well!

May 30, 2012, 9:45 AM With the nice weather of the last couple of days, lots of people ate from the barbecue. On lots of places the charcoals burned great, but in Poland a Ferrari FF burned just as good. Actually a little too good, because this car clearly is total loss. At the A4 in Poland the new flame of Ferrari went a little too hot under the bonnet, where the car started to burn. When the flames came (literally) from under the throttle to the inside of the car the owner tried to extinguish the fire. Unfortunately, he didn’t succeed. In a very short time, the whole car was on fire. It seems to be already the third time this is happening with an FF, after earlier accidents in Germany and China. Nissan WALD GT-R spotted in Tallin!

May 30, 2012, 8:30 AM The Nissan GT-R is one of the best cars you can buy. For half the money you will be way faster than a Porsche Turbo and you have one of the most high-tech cars you can buy. Though Nissan presents a new version every year, probably to make sure they stay better than Porsche and sell more cars. Tuner WALD made the perfect Nissan GT-R a long time ago, but this car was recently spotted in Tallin!

White beauty spotted: Wiesmann GT MF5

May 29, 2012, 8:22 PM It is white, looks aggressive and we don't see it very much. It is a Wiesmann GT MF5. Indeed, that small coupe with the powerful V8 Biturbo from BMW! This model was spotted in Geneva for the last time. You will always find some nice spots in this city. Sometimes it are great spots like a Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 or a Ferrari 599 GTO. This time we see a special creation from Germany!

Special dark blue BMW M1 spotted!

May 29, 2012, 6:04 PM The BMW M1 is BMW's sports icon. Just a car BMW is missing nowadays to compete with the Audi R8 and the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG. At the end of the 70's and beginning of the 80's, BMW did have a leading model when you were talking about street legal race cars. This was the BMW M1 and even nowadays this car isn't slow! We've seen a blue copy only once before, recently the second copy was uploaded on our website.

Gumball 3000 2012: daily report eight, Indianapolis to Kansas City!

May 29, 2012, 11:00 AM What a day! More than 700 kilometers and a lot of sensation. In the morning, the cars were still parked at the raceway of Indianapolis. After we picked them up we kept our fingers crossed and started the live stream. The live stream went well and that was a relief! We got a lot of reactions from all the people who were following the stream. Of to St. Louis for our first stop.

Beautiful colours on a McLaren MP4-12C

May 28, 2012, 1:12 PM Roquebrune-Cap-Martin is always good for some spotting. This city is near Cannes and Monaco and that is why you can find some supercars here regularly. In this spot we see two copies of the McLaren MP4-12C, which show us that even exotic colours look good in this car!

Gumball 3000 2012: daily report seven, Indy 500!

May 28, 2012, 11:31 AM Gumball 3000 is about raping your own body. The alarm went of on 5.30 am after we went to sleep at 1 am. You won't hear us complain about this because the experience is just awesome! Yesterday it was time to go to the Indy 500 race at the race park. One of the biggest sport events in America!

Gumball 3000 2012: daily report six, Toronto to Indianapolis!

May 27, 2012, 12:30 PM We already are six days in America but yesterday was the second day of the Gumball 3000 rally. We departed from New York to Toronto where we worked almost the whole night on the daily report. This night we also were busy making this report. After an early morning call yesterday we departed from Toronto to the GM head office in Detroit.
