No car manufacturer offers a personalisation programme quite like Pagani. By now, almost every Pagani that leaves the factory is a true one-off. Every screw, every leather strap and almost every imaginable detail can be specified exactly as the customer wants it. And the latest Zonda is a particularly fine example of what can happen when everything comes together perfectly.
The more freedom a car manufacturer gives its customers when configuring a car, the more complicated the whole process becomes. Many customers can quickly find themselves overwhelmed by the endless possibilities. Sometimes cars, even Paganis, end up being over-configured, turning into little more than a collection of colours and materials that simply do not work together in the end.
Now, don't get me wrong, tastes differ, and at the end of the day, the car has to please its owner, not the person standing by the side of the road. Still, there are colour combinations which, quite simply, do not go together. That is where the real art of creating a specification comes in. Both the customer and Pagani's design team have to find the right balance between matching colours and materials on one hand, and creating something truly unique on the other.
The owner of the Zonda Cervino has absolutely hit the nail on the head. Not one colour too many, not one detail too few, everything fits perfectly. It is almost impossible to stop looking at it.
On the outside, the car wears an exceptionally beautiful light blue paint finish, with no unnecessary stripes or extra details. The same sense of harmony continues inside. White leather, blue and white Pepita fabric, blue instrument dials, and to top it all off, a beautiful wooden Nardi steering wheel. The whole interior strongly reminds us of an Italian sports car from the 1950s or 1960s. Everything works together incredibly well, and once again, you simply cannot get enough of looking at it.
What makes the Cervino even more special is the fact that this Zonda was not built entirely from scratch. Instead, it began life as another car, the Zonda Oliver Evo Roadster. Its owner later sent it back to Pagani for the Unico programme, where it was completely reworked and transformed into the beauty you see today.
