Exclusive cars come and go. A lot of cars only have a very short lifetime and within a few years you won't hear a thing about these cars anymore. David Brown Automotive is such a small company. They developed in the Speedback GT in only eighteen months. This model will be limited to only 100 copies. One of the first copies was spotted in Amsterdam.
David Brown, founder of David Brown Automotive, has big plans with his company. The Speedback GT is the first child of the British car manufacturer. The retro looking coupé is a modern interpretation of the Aston Martin DB5. The chassis is based on the Jaguar XKR. In the front we find a Jaguar V8 engine. The engine produces 510 hp but the customers can probably also choose the more powerful engine of the XKR-S which produces 550 hp. David Brown Automotive made a completely new bodywork. The Speedback GT is coachbuilding at the highest level. Everything is typical English in a modern twist. Every car is completely built to the owner's taste.
When all cars are sold, David Brown Automotive wants to build a new model. This model would also be a classic in a modern twist. But first let's sell these 100 copies of the Speedback GT. Let's hope they will succeed!
