Special: a visit to the Pegasus Group

Owning a supercar or an exotic car isn’t possible for everybody. Next to that, not everybody wants to ship their cars to their holiday destination. That’s a great reason for renting a sports car or supercar. It’s not only cheaper, there’s also more choice. We visited Pegasus Group in Mönchengladbach to learn more about the concept that makes this company very popular in South of France and Spain.

The Pegasus Group
The Pegasus Group is founded by Klaus Berger about fifteen years ago. The company managed to grow due to a wide range of cars and an excellent service. Pegasus has a small showroom in Mönchengladbach where we find some supercars, a big parking lot with a lot of premium cars and even a big barn with some more cars. They have a total of 200 to 300 cars on stock. Pegasus doesn’t only sell supercars, they also rent them. Renting a supercar is quite expensive for a company. Due to the enormous range of models, Pegasus can please every customer. From a Volkswagen GTI to a Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 Roadster.

Customers of the Pegasus Group come from all over the world, including Brazil, the United Arab Emirates and Russia. A lot of these customers rent a supercar during the summer. During our visit, all cars were about to be transported to France. Spotters who visit France during their holidays can spot some of the Pegasus Rental cars which can be recognized by their German license plates. Renting a supercar is quite a good idea. Those with a lot of money can ship their car to their holiday destination but it will probably be cheaper to rent a car. Pegasus offers Aston Martin, Bentley, Ferrari, Lamborghini, Maserati, Porsche and many other cars.

Not just the people on holiday are important targets for the Pegasus Group. All over Europe, cars of the Pegasus Group are used during big political meetings. Pegasus owns a lot of Audi S series available for rent. Varying from an Audi S3 to an Audi S8. The barn with cars is very impressive. From Audi W12s to a Mercedes-Benz GL 63 AMG, the Pegasus Group offers the best cars available!

Photoshoot McLaren
After our visit to the office of the Pegasus Group, we stepped into McLaren 12C Spider to make some photos. Meanwhile, this supercar is replaced by the even better 650S Spider. The 12C meant the revival of the brand McLaren. It’s the start of a new period in which McLaren wants to compete with Ferrari, Lamborghini and Porsche. A year after the introduction of the 12C Coupé, they also came up with the 12C Spider. Meanwhile, the car produces over 600 hp!

We never had any doubt about the performance of the McLaren. Everybody is very enthusiastic about this car. We concluded the same after a few days with this supercar. Everything about this car is sporty. The interior filled with carbon fiber, the steering wheel and the small pedals behind the steering wheel. It’s all about the experience in this McLaren. Sprinting to 100 kph takes only 3.1 seconds and in 8.9 seconds you can reach 200 kph. The top speed of this car is 330 kph. This means that the 12C Spider is able to keep up with the hypercars from ten years ago. Despite the specifications of this car, it’s still perfect for daily use. The car looks amazing in the colour Volcanic Yellow and the carbon fiber details perfectly match the exterior of the car. The 12C Spider, and Coupé, we love them!
