Goodwood 2013: Cartier 'Style et Luxe'

Jul 17, 2013, 10:53 AM While the Michelin Supercar Run is all about supercars of the current generation, the Cartier ‘Style et Luxe’ is something completely different. This is a Concours d’Elegance like we see at Villa d'este, in Italy. Cartier 'Style et Luxe' honors the creative and innovative things in automotive design. It’s a homage to the best of the automotive industry throughout the years. Competitors were a Bugatti Type 41 Royale, McLaren F1 and Lamborghini Miura. Just the cars you would expect on an event like this.

The car weighs 100 kilograms less than its predecessor. Next to that, the car is also more economic. When you drive as economic as you can, you can reach 10.1 liters per 100 kilometers. When you drive faster, the car will consume a lot more gasoline!

In the press photos we can always interpret a perfect and ideal situation to see how a set of aftermarket wheels fit on a certain car. However, the best judgement of how a car looks with a certain set of wheels, is when you see it in real life, and on the streets. In this case, this 458 Spider was casually parked on a side street in London. The plate is also very unique too, read officially as '18O' but looks like '180'. Maybe the owner is into Darts?

Goodwood 2013: Michelin Supercar Run

Jul 16, 2013, 4:17 PM The Michelin Supercar Run at Goodwood is a collection of some of the most expensive and fastest exotic cars in the world. This million Euros parade of supercars is a delight to the ears and eyes of people who both take part, and attend the event. What is expected from this event then? The Spyker C8 Aileron, the RUF CTR-3 and the Koenigsegg Agera are but a few of the amazing exotics that were taking part in the run. Even the Spanish GTA Spano Motors was present. Goodwood 2013: The Hillclimb

Jul 16, 2013, 2:32 PM Like every year, the biggest attraction during Goodwood is the Hillclimb. This is a short circuit of 1.16 miles long which by-passes the complete terrain of Goodwood, with the Goodwood House including. All sorts of cars compete in the race of which Nick Heidfeld holds the record. He drove the circuit in just 41.6 seconds in his McLaren MP4/13. These year, cars from the Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 Roadster to the Porsche GT1 and everything in between were present, but the record wasn’t broken.

Noble owner smokes rubber!

Jul 16, 2013, 12:57 PM We all know using drugs is unhealthy, that doesn’t need any further explanation. It reduces your brain capacity and and memory, ruins your appearance and costs a lot of money. It seems logical that you better don’t start using drugs, you can better invest that same money in a car instead. The owner of this Noble must have thought the same, he invested a lot of money in his car. The purchase of this Noble already costed a lot, the modifications only increase the price. Due all these modifications, as seen on the photos by AlexvanAlphen, must have definitely cost a lot of money. We can also see he is a big fan of doing drifts, burnouts and donuts, as we can read from the message on the back of the car: Smoke tires, not drugs!

Spotted: very beautiful Bentley Mulsanne 2009

Jul 16, 2013, 11:30 AM The Bentley Mulsanne 2009 is quite a strange car. Most other Bentleys, especially the Continental series, have an accepted design. Almost everybody likes these models however they might be a bit boring. We can’t say that about the Mulsanne, especially the front is quite artistic. The big difference in the size of the inner and outer headlights is not accepted by everybody. Despite the fact that it’s a quite artistic car, it’s not often spotted in artistic colours. Spotters BMWgek92 and Guen93 managed to spot such a copy.

Goodwood 2013: A look at the parking lot

Jul 16, 2013, 8:36 AM Although at Goodwood you will see some fantastic cars, it is worth every moment of your time to check the car park outside the event, as there are some fantastic cars there. Classics and modern supercars, the car park will most likely have them. Present at Goodwood was photographer Alexander Boekholdt, reporting for us. Anyone can have a look at the car park around the event, to see what special cars visitors have driven in to Goodwood, to attend. Alexander managed to capture a lot of exclusive cars in the car park, including an SLR McLaren Edition and an even rarer Porsche 962 Schuppengasse. The car parks at Goodwood, present a great opportunity for any spotters to photograph something truly remarkable.
