The BMW i8 was officially revealed in Frankfurt. This electric supercar of BMW is revealed after several years of development. With a combined usage of 2.5 liters per 100 kilometers, the i8 is one of the most efficient supercars of this moment. The following spyshots show us that the car isn’t completely developed yet. The i8 is still being tested on the Nürburgring.
This can mean a lot, they can be testing the suspension, batteries, electric engines or just the stability systems. Last Wednesday, two i8’s were driving around on the Nürburgring and we had the chance to enjoy the acceleration of the i8 and the sound of the three-cylinder with turbos. This engine is very useful when the the batteries are empty. Up to a speed of 120 kph, you can drive electric and a completely charged battery pack gives you a range of 35 kilometers.
