McLaren has enough of the P1. All car’s sold out and if you’re still looking for a P1 you’re too late. That’s why they didn’t bring the P1 and gave all the attention to the McLaren 650S. For the first time since the online introduction we could see the 650S Spider. A car which is just as stiff as the 650S Coupé by using a unique carbon fiber monocell.
The roof can be opened or closed in 17 seconds while driving up to a speed of 30 kph. The specifications of the Spider are the same as the Coupé. That means a sprint to 100 kph in 3 seconds and a sprint from zero to 200 kph in 8.6 seconds. The top speed of the car is 329 kph and this can be reached with the top down. The window behind the drivers can be used as a wind screen but can also be opened when the roof’s closed for a better sound sensation. The 650S is the ultimate compromise between the P1 and the 12C. The car is amazing on the track as well as on the streets!
