Geneva 2015: Lotus Evora 400

Lotus’ recipe is keeping the car as lightweight as possible. This way you don’t need a very powerful car to offer a great performance. With the new Evora 400, Lotus combines the best of both worlds.

The most important about the Evore 400 is the engine which is boosted to 400 hp thanks to a new supercharger. That explains the name 400. On paper, everything about the Evora 400 is impressive. The sprint to 100 kph takes only 4.2 seconds and the top speed is 300 kph. The Evora now competes with the Porsche 991 Carrera S. Those who want to order the Evora 400 can choose between a manual gearbox and a automatic gearbox with flippers on your steering wheel. A real Lotus driver will always prefer a manual gearbox.

The Evora isn’t only about low weight. Thanks to the use of carbon fiber, a new aluminum chassis and lightweight wheels, the 400’s weight is reduced with 22 kilograms. Combine this with a more luxurious interior and a completely new dashboard and we can say that the men from Lotus did a great job!
