Every year we’re looking forward to what McLaren has to offer on the Geneva Motor Show. The P1 was unveiled in Geneva and since that moment they’ve stolen our hearts. After our driving tests in various models we really started to love this model and now McLaren added a new chapter. The McLaren 720S is the newest model of the still very young brand.
The first thing that stands out is the design of the car. Less clinical but way more aggressive. It fits the character of the cars because they’re also very sharp in their handling and experience. The new four liter V8 produces a stunning 720 hp. We already knew that the 720S would sprint to 200 kph in just 7.8 seconds. The top speed is 341 kph and the sprint from zero to 100 kph takes only 2.9 seconds and let’s not forget that this car only has rear-wheel drive.
On the inside we find a lot of novelties. The dashboard can be lowered which gives the driver a better view at the track. McLaren is focusing on the trackdays they organize for their customers. Whether the car is just as sharp as the 675LT is the big question but we’re already looking forward to McLaren’s next project. They keep on working on new models and the next project will probably be the open version of the 720S!
McLaren shows us that they still have humor because all of their information or teasers came with a number. Since January they released six of them and guess what 1 x 2 x 3 x 4 x 5 x 6 is? Exactly, 720!
