This is my car!
I can’t believe it, I just Googled to find a good Lotus Esprit v8 desktop photo and there is my car!
In Maranello from 5-8 May 2017 with the guy in the Scaglietti visiting car factories and museums… fantastic!
This Esprit v8 has various modifications so:
Top speed: 316 km/u 196mph (so far) (by satellite speedo)
Acceleration: 0-100km/u around 3.0s
Power: 450hp
Torque: 500 Nm @4250
Weight: 1320 kg (even with the chargecoolers!)
Engine build by Gerald Turner at GST Performance Newmarket UK
CP Carillo forged pistons with ceramic coated crowns.
RC Injectors.
Twin turbos running at 16psi max (through twin chargecoolers)
Twin ‘TurboSmart’ Blow Off Valves.
Greddy ProFec boost controller.
ECU modification and turbo wastegate capsules by Marcus at PUK Esprit Racing.
Custom built twin chargecoolers by ProAlloy Ltd in Haverhill UK
Custom exhaust system.
AP multiplate clutch, gearbox, Quaife ATB limited slip diff’ build by Geoff Downhill at Esprit Engineering in Salisbury UK.
Built with the GTO Racing upgraded gear kit.
Built with a .70 ratio 5th gear instead of .76 to allow higher top speed.
Oil cooler using external electric pump.
Brakes by PNM Engineering:
6 pot front callipers, 4 pot rear. Larger discs drilled & vented. Carbon pads.
Alloy fuel tanks by Andy Wiltshire.
