Hamilton closing in on world championship number three

Oct 14, 2015, 7:33 AM As the 2015 Formula One season enters the home straight, it's looking increasingly likely that Mercedes' Lewis Hamilton will retain his drivers' world championship while his team go on to once again lift the constructors' title. While there is still time for fellow Mercedes man Nico Rosberg to claw back the Englishman at the top of the drivers' standings, the German has again been forced to play second fiddle to his team-mate in a season in which Hamilton has won eight Grand Prix to his colleague's three and a late comeback seems unlikely.

It was a race that rewarded cars that combined maximum performance with the driveability and ease of use that enabled the competitors to race for hundreds of kilometres a day over fast, tortuous roads and on circuits. McLaren celebrates 50 years of US racing series with 650S Can-Am

The car is designed by the MSO department and is inspired by the Can-Am racers by McLaren in the 1960s. Only fifty copies will be available for a price of around 260.000 euros.

New track monster: BMW M4 GTS
