May 24, 2012, 10:33 AM Almost three days in New York already. Yesterday evening we had a little pre meet of Gumball 3000 participants. Last days were relatively quiet regarding to supercars and only some Gumballers already made it to New York City. In comparison with earlier days today was a crazy day and most of the participants and their cars arrived today.

May 24, 2012, 9:00 AM The Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren is one of the most famous supercars from the last decade. Even nowadays this car looks very modern despite the car is in production since 2004. With its 626 bhp and 780 Nm of torque, you have a car of which you dont have to be ashamed. What stands out on this SLR McLaren is the fact that it is often spotted in a very boring colour. Black and grey are the most common colours in our database. But sometimes we see something special, like this car which was recently spotted in Abu Dhabi.

As you can see in this following movie, the Gumball 3000 will be spectacular! Making each other crazy and then leaving with a nice burn-out! May 23, 2012, 3:02 PM We have seen some historic livery’s on the Ferrari 599 GTO before. These creations were often very stylish and is wasn’t necessary to know the background story of it to like it. But this is necessary with the following livery, because the colours are not very common. Luckily spotter xdefxx showed us a Ferrari 250 GTO with the same livery.

The straight-six engine returns in the BMW M3 F30!
May 23, 2012, 1:00 PM It only lasted one generation. The mighty V8 from the BMW M3 will be downsized. We already saw this coming after the M5 and M6 lost two cylinders, but eventually it is a bummer. The sound will definitely change. The rumble will disappear and the characteristics of the engine will change. Lovers of the older M3 series will only be happy with the return of the straight-six engine and we can also understand that.

Some members of our team were out of bed at 5 am already, just because their biological clock isn’t used to the time difference in New York. So we all stood up early, went into the city and talked through the latest plans. It will all start Thursday morning. Stickering the car and registering the participants. These are just a few things of what we have to do on Thursday.
