That also explains why we haven't seen many spots of Ford's hand build Supercar. As of 2018 the production has increased to one car a day and the target of 1,000 cars will be met in the 4 year production schedule. News: Porsche 911 Speedster going in production

Oct 5, 2018, 10:59 AM The Porsche 911 Speedster Concept received an enthusiastic welcome at all three public appearances. Following its world premiere on June 8 in Stuttgart-Zuffenhausen, the Speedster was on display in Goodwood and California. And that reception lead to today's news at the Paris Motorshow, that Porsche is planning to build 1,948 cars, honoring the original 356 Speedster that received its license in 1948! The production is scheduled for 2019.

The new Z4 is completing the lap faster than its counterpart, the BMW M2 and it is 20 seconds faster than the Z4 M Roadster that lapped the Ring back in 2009. It takes the new roadster less than 8 minutes to complete the lap. The time of 7:55 is equal to the lap time of the Ferrari F430 F1 and Ferrari 360 Challenge Stradale F1.
