Spot of the Day USA: The GT40 MkII by Superperformance
Jan 23, 2017, 9:38 PM Today's Spot of the Day is a (Ford) GT40 MkII built by the small company, Superformance. Superperformance delvers complete reproductions of American race cars of the 1960's. Besides the GT40 they are reproducing the Cobra, the Shelby Daytona Coupe and the Corvette Grand Sport. Spotter Rivitography spotted this magnificent copy of the GT40 MkII in Greenwich, CT.

North American International Auto Show 2017
Jan 23, 2017, 3:10 AM Today is the last day of the 2017 Detroit Auto Show, better known as the North American International Auto Show. Last year the show had 61 new car introductions, but this year the show was somewhat limited and had a complete different setup. That didn't make the show less exciting, but for those people looking for an exotic or luxury car found that there were limited options.

Jan 21, 2017, 10:02 AM I would love to live close to the Alps, or to the Rocky Mountains for that matter. You can drive on scenic routes, enjoy the resort towns in the evening and find a quiet and peaceful place during the day. But the scenic routes are the most attractive. When you drive a sports-car on speed-enforced straight roads it is not that exciting, unless you live in Germany and take it to the limits on the Autobahn. But taking a sports car in the mountains, you can really test the handling limits of your sports car.

The new 991 GT3 will receive a 4.0 liter engine
Jan 19, 2017, 12:28 PM In the 997 series the 4.0 liter engine was reserved for the (highly popular) GT3 RS 4.0. The 991 Series GT3 was powered by a 3.8 liter engine but that seems to change in the GT3 MkII.

Driving a Porsche 911 R in the snow could be a challenge
Jan 18, 2017, 3:38 PM The Porsche 911 R is a stunning car, even in the original color combination. We recognize the different wheels from the Porsche 991 Turbo S and to be honest, it doesn't seem to fit this car. But these might be winter tires/wheels and that might give the owner the confidence to take this powerful rear-wheel drive car for a drive in the snow.
