Event: Long Beach Grand Prix

May 3, 2013, 1:34 PM For 39 years, the streets of Long Beach shut down for one weekend in April. One of the most famous street circuits in the world, the Long Beach Grand Prix draws nearly 200,000 fans over the three-day race weekend. The sun was shining over the port city all weekend long. Fans showed up in droves to experience all the festivities. The weekend features seven different types of racing including the Izod Indycar Series, American Le Mans, Drifting under the lights and stadium super trucks. Race fans are treated to one of the biggest collection of food trucks in the city, two live concerts, a lifestyle expo, and some of the fastest cars in the world.

Horror story! Blowout at 300 kph!

May 3, 2013, 9:57 AM Cruising on the highway, you decide to flat out. You drive way above 300 kph and you start to hear a strange sound followed by a bang. You lose control over the car and the wall next to the highway starts to come very close. A blowout at 300 kph isn't much luck but followed by a crash into a wall is completely unlucky. Luckily, the passengers had a few guardian angels because they weren't injured. This story could have had a completely different end.

Event: Rosso Corsa Day in Paris

May 2, 2013, 12:06 PM On Sunday 21 April, it was time for the ninth Rosso Corsa Day, organized by the Scuderia Ferrari Club Paris. The start was at Place de la Concorde, at the beginning of the Champs-Élysées, in the center of Paris. In the early morning, the square was filled with more than hundred Ferrari’s, varying from a classic 250 GTE from the sixties to the newer 458 Italia and 458 Spider. Those who thought that you could drive around anonymously in your Enzo or F50 were wrong! The drive started on Place de la Concorde and drove over the Champs-Élysées heading towards Chateau de Vaux-le-Vicomte. When all the cars left, Paris looked like just an ordinary Sunday morning again.
