We see the car slowly passing by on the website and it is difficult to find out why it does not want to run smoothly. Perhaps the lack of a real identity of its own, or that the driving characteristics are no longer really Aston Martin now that Mercedes-AMG is at the helm. Recently, Aston Martin gave their youngest member some extra spice and a new addition, and so the Aston Martin Vantage F1 Edition was born. Does this car bring the Aston Martin Vantage back into our hearts?

Driven: McLaren 600LT

Driven: Rolls-Royce Phantom VIII

Aug 12, 2019, 4:00 PM Guided by the Spirit of Ecstasy on the hood we leave the Rolls-Royce estate in Goodwood. The factory of this unique brand lays hidden behind the hills of the Goodwood estate, which is still under care of Lord March. On these grounds many liters of gasoline have been, and will be burnt during the various festivals and events. We arrived a few weeks before the legendary Festival of Speed and the entire property already has the special vibe. We get to take out the Rolls-Royce Phantom VIII, a land yacht as Rolls-Royce likes to call it.

Special: cruising through Dubai in a Ferrari 488 GTB

I have become too spoiled regarding car spotting, but one major dream was missing. During my recent trip to Dubai this dream came true. I had the opportunity to drive through Dubai in a Ferrari 488 GTB!

Driven: Lamborghini Huracán LP640-4 Performante

Nov 15, 2017, 9:00 AM Corsa mode: engaged. The exhaust valves open up a little bit more, which means there is nothing that can stop the V10 from screaming. Corsa mode is the loudest mode the Lamborghini has to offer. The V10 purrs like a happy kitten, let’s take the Lamborghini Huracán LP640-4 Performante, once the record holder of the Nürburgring, for a drive!

Driven: Ferrari California T Handling Speciale

Sep 25, 2016, 4:11 PM At the end of last year’s summer, we were allowed to drive the Ferrari California T for one weekend. It was an average Dutch weekend; a bit of sun and rain combined. Not very suited for driving with the roof off. Luckily, Ferrari introduced the Handling Speciale at the beginning of this year. This upgrade also includes something we’ve already wanted to see last year: a sports exhaust! A Ferrari is something you want to year at it’s best, finally the Italians have understood that in the case of the California T. On Friday morning, the roof goes off to be never closed again this weekend!

Driven: Ford Focus RS 2016

Aug 25, 2016, 10:22 AM I’ll have to admit, when Ford announced that there would be a new Focus RS, we danced around like children. Immediately, a flashback to the last generation Ford Focus RS appeared in our heads. That car drove so good, we had trouble handing over the keys back to Ford. Hot hatches are so incredibly fun to drive. Is this also the case with the new Focus RS?

Driven: Mercedes-Benz G 63 AMG

Jul 26, 2016, 6:29 PM BMW, Range Rover and Audi didn’t have it for a long time: a brutal SUV with a powerful engine under the bonnet. Mercedes-Benz however already hit bullseye with this concept in the shape of the G-class. At first there was the supercharged G 55 AMG, later the G 63 AMG followed. The G-class proved that there is a lot of demand for these cars, especially from the Middle-East. So, let’s see for ourselves what the G 63 is all about!

Driven: McLaren 570S

May 10, 2016, 4:00 PM McLaren: once the underdog, right now a big name in the supercar world. Of course the history of McLaren in terms of road cars goes way back to cars like the F1 and the SLR McLaren, but things really started to get going with the introduction of the (MP4-)12C. While it was an epic car from a technological perspective, it lacked a bit of emotion and it had a few bugs. Soon after the 12C the 650S was introduced, which proved to be everything we would’ve ever wanted from the 12C. These were all cars from the Super Series, which are more upmarket. Because McLaren also wanted to offer clients (say 911 Turbo buyers) in the lower segment of the market an option they introduced the Sports Series, with the 570S being the first car in this ‘range’. It has the same carbonfiber monocoque and V8-engine as the previous models, only with a little bit less power. Time to shine!

Driven: Bentley Continental GT V8 S

Mar 11, 2016, 6:50 PM The ‘koopmanshuis’ in Leusden, the Netherlands is a place where the Dutch importer of Bentley (Pon) has its official Bentley dealership. It’s a place where you can tailor your new Bentley specifically to your taste and needs while having a glass of expensive wine or a nice cup of coffee. A short while ago this place has been entirely renovated. When we picked up our car for the weekend, a Bentley Continental GT V8 S painted in the striking color Flame Orange, the paint of the building only just dried up.
